Tahoe/Truckee is known as an outdoor playground for so many fun things. Our camp takes this element of play but adds knowledge of place and ecological stewardship to it. We have fun building forts, playing in the river and exploring the landscape through hands-on games and experiences. We learn real skills like carving, natural dyes, archery, fishing and animal tracking from experienced instructors. We become ecological stewards and future leaders by participating in land restoration projects, gardening and animal advocate visits. We build relationships to each other and the land, making new friends.

Our adult staff, low ratios (1:6 max) and our training inspired by the Nurtured Heart Approach support a caring environment where each child's gifts are highlighted, social emotional conflicts addressed, and the days flow like a summer play and learning experience rather than a big fend for yourself camp.

In addition to our core curriculum this camp may include:

*With our very varied economical situations in the Bay Area, families have differing abilities to pay. We want our programs to serve as many children as possible regardless of financial situation.*

**Rate A** - represents the actual cost of running a program in this area and is comparable with the rates of several local specialty camps. It funds our long-term goals and work.

**Rate B** - covers our basic costs for running this particular program, but it does not cover our organizational costs.

**Rate C** - does not cover the cost of program and is subsidized by Rate A and donations.

Times: 9am - 3pm Daily

What if the session I want is full?: Join the waitlist! Sometimes we’re able to expand capacity (and sometimes people cancel). If your spot in the waitlist opens, you’ll receive an email and then have a limited time reserved to register.
