PETALUMA RANCH Camp

Ages 6½-11 / Petaluma

This lucky camp gets to experience adventures in the woodlands, spend time at a working ranch and includes swimming too! We hike to close by parklands to practice our wilderness skills, seeing the farm animals on the way. After a hot day of skills and adventure we return to the ranch for a cool swim in the pool. When in the woodlands, we learn how to track animals and identify plants. When on the ranch we learn about domesticated animals and do skills like carpentry and archery.

In addition to our core curriculum this program may include:

  • Farm animal visits

  • Gardening

  • Local flora and fauna

  • Carpentry

  • Archery

  • Natural dyes

  • Swimming

  • Attainment of skills badges from our badge system

  • and more…

I just wanted to let you know what a great time my kids had with Fairfax Tracks this summer. I don’t know of any other program like yours that gets the kids outside in nature with such a positive exploring/learning experience. I try to spend as much time as I can with my kids outdoors and was really happy to hear about their adventures at camp. They did 3 weeks of camp and all of the counselors were so great – really good, interesting people. Thank you for having such a great program!
